Financial Assistance

Financial assistance ("grants") for program registration fees is available through charitable organizations such as Jumpstart and KidSport ("funding sources").

If further assistance is required, the NBBA may agree to cover the difference up to a program registration fee.

Families are generally required to apply for assistance from a funding source before registering for an NBBA program. Here are the steps in the process:

  • Contact the NBBA General Manager regarding your financial assistance needs. Please be assured that all information will be kept confidential.
  • Apply for a grant from a funding source.
  • Forward to the General Manager the email you receive from a funding source confirming the application.
  • The General Manager will provide a single-use discount code to credit the amount of funding applied for towards payment of a registration fee.
  • Register for an NBBA program using the discount code along with payment of any remaining registration balance not covered by the funding applied for.
  • When you receive an email from a funding source approving the application, please forward that email as well.
  • When the grant is received by the NBBA, it is applied to complete payment of your registration fee.

Where the NBBA agrees to provide supplemental financial assistance, it will reimburse a program registration fee in excess of the amounts received from funding sources (excluding a competitive team fee).

If a funding source does not approve an application, the requested amount remains owing as a registration balance. In exceptional circumstances, the NBBA may waive the amount owing.
