All prospective and returning coaches should visit the Volunteer page for information, then fill out the Coaching Volunteer Form for 2023-24.

As “Canada Basketball Verified“, our standards include mandatory background checks and Safe Sport Training for all coaches.

Any coach 18 years of age or older must have passed a Police Record Check (Vulnerable Sector Check) within the last 3 years. Applying for a PRC can be done online, and the fee is waived for NBBA volunteers.

Safe Sport training is also online and free (see Safe Sport Training Procedure).

The PRC requirement and Safe Sport training are pre-conditions to coaching for the 2023-24 season.
